I usually maintain internal equilibrium despite external chaos, but this wasn't the case when Trump was elected president. This blog isn't political as I typically remain neutral and don’t pay much attention to politics; but, rather it is a portrait of my unusual disruptive subjective experience. I view Trump as someone as destructive as Hitler—lacking compassion, cold, cruel, and mean. However, I didn’t anticipate that his win would trigger a fear so deep it felt like it came from beyond my soul, landing me in the hospital with incredible physical pain. Yes, it’s true. And I have never been in a hospital before, other than for the birth of my children.
So, was it a trigger or something much deeper?
Since my teenage years, I've been unable to watch movies related to concentration camps, wars, genocides, or prisons. I attributed this to my high sensitivity to negative situations and the disempowerment and injustice of others. It wasn’t until midlife that I realized this sensitivity had underpinnings from past life experiences. But my recent experience seemed more than fear related to a past life—it felt like a genocide was actually happening. It was all I could do not to encourage my friends and family to hide and run for cover.
As psychologists, we would call this an aspect of mind-body connections or psychoneuroimmunology, where the mind's stress causes the body to break down. Or it might even be considered psychosis. However, for me, it felt like I was actually preparing for an impending Holocaust or genocide environment. My body was acting like a genocide was happening, even though I knew it wasn’t….at the moment, at least. This was far more than a fear that a genocide might happen in the future due to an upcoming fascist authoritarian ruler. The body keeps score over numerous lifetimes and parallel realities.
This incident caused me to reflect deeply. I had heard of parallel universes and shifting timelines but didn’t fully understand them. Most of us are unaware that we might be living out different lifetimes simultaneously in parallel universes, and at specific times, they intersect, causing a switch from one reality to another. Our concept of time suggests that one lifetime follows another, but since time is a construct we've invented, it's possible to experience multiple lifetimes or realities at once. Remembering that at our core we are pure consciousness and energetic beings that can shift shape quite easily from one reality to another.
How do you explain this to anyone? Am I going crazy?
So, what did I learn from this? Was it a past life experience or a shifting of timelines? I definitely experienced an overlapping timeline and shifted into a different parallel reality. In my next blog I will explain how I know this and the methods I used to shift out and up.
Differentiating between an emotional experience stemming from a past life and one arising from an overlapping timeline can be deeply nuanced and subjective. Both concepts are rooted in metaphysical frameworks, and the interpretation depends on personal beliefs or the lens through which you approach these phenomena. If you have experienced any situation that seemed over the top and unexplainable, here are some ideas you might want to consider:
- Intensity and Familiarity
- Past Life: Experiences tied to past lives often feel deeply ingrained, carrying a sense of "ancient" familiarity or unresolved emotion, like déjà vu or unexplainable phobias. They might be accompanied by a sense of knowing, as if you've carried this feeling for lifetimes.
- Overlapping Timeline: These experiences may feel more immediate or fragmented, as though you're tapping into a simultaneous or alternative version of yourself. They often lack the "antique" resonance of a past life and instead feel like a fleeting yet vivid emotional overlap.
- Accompanying Imagery or Memories
- Past Life: Emotional experiences might come with vivid visions or memories that feel like they belong to a different era, place, or identity (e.g., wearing different clothes, speaking another language). These are often tied to specific historical settings.
- Overlapping Timeline: Emotions might arise with imagery that is less historical and more aligned with present-day or futuristic contexts. These could feel like parallel decisions or alternate paths your current life could have taken.
- Emotional Themes
- Past Life: Themes may revolve around karmic patterns, unresolved trauma, or lessons tied to soul growth across lifetimes. The emotions often feel tied to a long narrative arc.
- Overlapping Timeline: These themes might feel more like alternative emotional outcomes of choices you've made (or didn’t make) in your current life, offering insight into "what could have been."
- Context of Trigger
- Past Life: A trigger may be random, such as visiting a historical site, hearing specific music, or encountering someone who feels familiar despite being a stranger.
- Overlapping Timeline: A trigger might relate more directly to choices or possibilities that currently exist in your life, such as a sense of connection to "roads not taken."
- Clarity Through Practices
- Meditation or Hypnosis: Guided past-life regression sessions or meditative journeys can sometimes help clarify the origins of an emotional experience. Past life explorations often have a sequential, story-like quality, while timeline overlaps might feel like snapshots or flashes of a different version of the present.
- Dream Analysis: Past life experiences in dreams may feel distinctively historical, while overlapping timelines might manifest as alternate realities or scenarios involving your current self.
- Energetic and Intuitive Impressions
- Tune into your intuition. Does the emotional experience feel rooted in a lesson or consequence from a long-past existence, or does it feel connected to a branching version of your current reality?
- Ask for Guidance
- Journaling, tarot, or connecting with a trusted spiritual coach or guide can help you reflect on the origin of the emotional experience and discern its source.
The distinction is often more about the feeling and less about concrete evidence. It might also be worth considering whether the label matters—both types of experiences may carry valuable messages for your growth and understanding. All of our experiences are provided to help us learn, grow, and expand our consciousness. And this experience sure did the trick!
