Are you suffering from chronic fatigue, pain, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and/or various sensitivities (light/chemicals/digestive)? Perhaps you are in the healthcare industry seeing complex cases that are difficult to treat? If so, this could be the right course for you!
This course is comprised of four modules that are essential to developing a positive and harmonious relationship with oneself and with others in the workplace: Listening and Motivational Interviewing Techniques; Mindfulness Training for Relaxation, Optimism, Resilience, and Self-care; Becoming Trauma Informed; and Developing Compassion, Spirituality and Inclusion for Human Connectivity. These modules are part of the Nickerson Institute’s Certified Corporate Integrative Health Coach Training Program.

Research indicates that practicing mindfulness not only alleviates stress but also alters brain structure and activity, enhancing optimism, resilience, and prioritization of self-care. These attributes are crucial for optimal functioning, positive relationships, and productivity in the workplace.
Adopting a trauma-informed approach involves recognizing that individuals may have experienced various types of traumas that can be easily triggered by colleagues or situations, hindering positive working relationships. A trauma-informed workplace is characterized by an organizational structure and nurturing culture that understands, recognizes, and responds to the effects of physical, psychological, and emotional trauma. Such workplaces enhance insight, resilience, coping skills, happiness, and healing while reducing stress, illness, burnout, and employee turnover.
We now understand that a sense of community and connectivity in the workplace boosts wellbeing for both employees and the organization. Employees need to feel connected not only to their purpose but also to those they interact with daily. Studies have shown that to develop high levels of connectivity among humans, we need enhanced compassion, inclusion, and a sense of spirituality.
At the end of the course, the participant will...
